Excellence scholarship to promote quality and research progress in the retail and logistics area

The Helsingborg Trade Association wants to recognise the researchers at the Centre for Retail and Logistics (REAL), Lund University, who have made outstanding scientific publications over the past year. This is done through a new excellence scholarship. By supporting academic progress, the aim is to strengthen research excellence in the field.

The Helsingborg Trade Association has for many years supported research and education at Lund University, Campus Helsingborg with both calls for young researchers and funding for research projects. The Helsingborg Trade Association is now announcing a new excellence scholarship to encourage and reward REAL researchers’ contributions to scientific publication in trade and logistics.

For research advances in retail and logistics

Lund University is ranked in the top 10 when it comes to publishing in the world’s leading scientific journals in trade and logistics. Publishing research in top-ranked scientific journals ensures high quality through a strict and rigorous review, giving the research greater visibility and impact. It enables academic collaborations, influences policy decisions and strengthens the researcher’s credentials. In this way, it contributes to both scientific progress and society at large.

– REAL members who have authored and published articles in one of the selected leading scientific journals will receive a grant. It will be a personal reward that can be used freely by the researcher and will recognise their academic achievements and the hard work that is required. I believe and hope that this scholarship will encourage more researchers to collaborate across their research fields,” says Daniel Hellström, Director of REAL.

Scholarship award ceremony in May

Already this year, 11 researchers will receive grants for their publications in 2024. The scholarship ceremony will take place on 7 May at Hetch in Oceanhamnen. In connection with the ceremony, some of the researchers will present their articles.
