E-commerce Park of Sweden Launches Forward-Looking Incubator Programme to Transform E-commerce

Helsingborg, is a vibrant hub for e-commerce with Sweden’s best logistic node, is now the launchpad for an ambitious new project initiated by E-commerce Park of Sweden. Known for its significant contributions to the e-commerce sector, E-commerce Park has propelled over 100 companies to success through its incubator programme. Many of these companies have seen their turnover soar from modest beginnings to over SEK 100 million, establishing E-commerce Park as a leading player in the industry.

Despite these successes, co-founder Karsten Deppert believes the transition towards a more circular and sustainable e-commerce is moving too slowly. “Frankly, the transition towards a more circular and sustainable e-commerce is going too slowly. There is a clear need for a strong effort to accelerate the transition. With the position we have, we see it as our duty to act,” says Deppert.

In response, E-commerce Park is launching a new programme parallel to its existing one, focusing on entrepreneurs who are pioneering innovative and sustainable business models but may lack comprehensive e-commerce expertise. This programme targets those who are looking to scale up new lifestyle brands, develop or package sustainable products, or focus on reuse and circular business ideas. The aim is to equip these entrepreneurs with competitive knowledge in e-commerce development.

“By combining our expertise in e-commerce development with leading-edge knowledge in sustainability, we create a platform for innovation. Our goal is to support companies that not only want to lead the market but also want to do so in a responsible and sustainable way,” explains Deppert.

The new programme is designed as an incubator where future retail solutions can take shape. Participants will benefit from extensive mentoring from industry-leading experts in both e-commerce and sustainability. They will also gain access to a network of like-minded entrepreneurs and have the opportunity to connect with investors who value innovation and responsibility.

“This programme is a catalyst to drive the future of retail businesses. By partnering with leading experts, we are providing our participants with the resources they need to redefine the e-commerce landscape,” adds Deppert.

Furthermore, this initiative will use the strength of Helsingborg’s position as a central hub for retail and sustainable development. Currently, over a third of all Swedish e-commerce has critical business links to the Helsingborg region, with major companies like Boozt, NA-KD, and IKEA, as well as entrepreneurial firms such as Gents, INF, and Däckline, being key players. The program will use the extensive network and community that exists for retail, logistics and e-commerce in the region.

“We are incredibly excited to launch this programme in Helsingborg. The programme will contribute to regional growth and use the strength of all the knowledge within these fields here,” says Elinor Franchetti, community manager at E-commerce Park.

About E-commerce Park of Sweden: E-commerce Park of Sweden is Sweden’s hub for e-commerce innovation and business development. It serves as a gathering place for entrepreneurs and key figures in the Swedish e-commerce sector, with the aim of advancing the industry and helping companies succeed both nationally and internationally.
