We invite you to an inspiring XR Day focused on safety and security, where we explore how new technology can be used in a responsible, safe, and operationally relevant way.
During the day, several experts will participate and share experiences, research, and practical examples of how XR can contribute to increased safety, improved education, and safer ways of working. There will also be opportunities to try different XR solutions on site.
What is XR?
XR stands for Extended Reality and is an umbrella term for technologies that create experiences beyond the ordinary physical world:
• VR (Virtual Reality) – you are fully immersed in a virtual world (e.g., through VR headsets)
• AR (Augmented Reality) – digital objects are displayed on top of the real world (e.g., Pokémon Go on a mobile phone)
• MR (Mixed Reality) – digital objects can interact with real-world objects (e.g., Apple Vision Pro)
Today, XR is used for training, simulation, education, and support in complex or high-risk situations. XR allows us to train for the future—safely, responsibly, and in advance.
