During the spring, a mapping study was conducted to examine how research is used across the City’s departments and municipal companies. The report is now complete, and we invite you to a presentation of the findings, followed by a joint discussion on the way forward.

What this is about
The mapping study shows that research has a strong foundation within the City and already serves several important functions in organizational development, innovation, evidence-based practices, analysis, environmental scanning, and strategic development. At the same time, the impact of research is limited by a number of challenges at both the city-wide and operational levels. In this presentation, we will also highlight where the greatest potential for development lies in strengthening the City’s implementation capacity—and how we can take the next step together.
13:00 Presentation of the mapping study’s findings and recommendations
14:00 Joint discussion, including topics such as:
- How can research contribute to the City’s implementation capacity?
- How can research become a more integrated part of operational planning and governance?
- How can the City’s departments and municipal companies build the capacity to conduct research themselves based on their specific needs?
Who are we inviting?
Those of you who, in your role, work strategically or practically with research within the City’s operations—both in departments and municipal companies. We aim to bring together a broad range of perspectives to jointly shape the continued work.
