A warm welcome to AW in the name of science, where you will have the opportunity to dive into the fascinating world of chemistry with Ulf Ellervik, professor of bioorganic chemistry at Lund University. He is a popular and well-known lecturer and also part of the panel on SVT's Fråga Lund.
Ulf will talk about:
The art of enjoying chemistry
How can we distinguish between the scent of a rose and a lily? How come some dishes are so incredibly delicious? And why do we love coffee? Our senses are based on molecular properties. By understanding how molecules look and behave, we can also understand why a certain molecule gives a certain smell or taste experience.
During the evening, you will also be able to try out various experiments and puzzles with Science Center at Campus Helsingborg, which has been operating at Fabriken 1891 since 2019.
We will provide snacks! Food and drinks are available for purchase at Mindpark.
